The Scarab STM Sport Transport Module was a 3 wheeled car designed and manufactured, in the United States of America , around 1975. The car was manufactured by Fiberfab , a company founded by Warren Bud Goodwin. The vehicle was a reverse trike design utilizing VW Beetle front suspension married to a rear motorcycle running gear. The scarab is considered the most rare of the Fiberfab line, with unconfirmed reports that only 6 were ever produced. A road test in Popular Science Magazine October 1975 noted the prototype vehicle, powered by a 900cc Kawasaki , produced a 14 second 1 4 mile, reached 80 mph in third gear, and handled banked turns at 40 mph with ease. Anthony Lynch STM , Master of Sacred Theology and slave , c. 1576 after 1636. Lynch was born in the town of Galway , Ireland , a son of Nicholas Lynch and Juliana Martin. He spent some years in trade before leaving for Lisbon where he studied humanities at St. Patrick s College. There, he received his subdiaconate in 1599 and in 1602 moved to the Irish College at Salamanca . He joined the Dominican Order at Lisbon in September 1606 , age thirty one. His presence was reported in Galway c. 1611 by a spy . In 1615 he was captured and enslaved by Barbary corsairs and was not ransomed till 1623 . He was recommended as a candidate for Archbishop of Armagh 1626 and Bishop of Achonry 1636 . One must normally have an Master of Divinity M.Div. or an Master of Arts postgraduate M.A. in a religious or theological field before being admitted to study for the S.T.M. The S.T.M. typically is designed to enhance a student s academic credentials for entrance to a doctoral program or as a way of furthering theological education for ordained ministers. S.T.M. degrees are typically awarded after having completed thirty hours of study at the Master s level beyond that required for the first professional degree. In some programs this degree may be awarded solely on the basis of taught academic courses. However, many S.T.M. programs require or permit the student to write a thesis as a part of the degree requirements. The thesis is especially helpful for those individuals who wish to use the S.T.M. to further their qualifications for doctoral study and who did not complete a thesis or major research project as a part of the first professional degree. Some seminaries will also credit part of the work done for the S.T.M. towards a student moving on to the Doctor of Ministry D.Min. degree once the S.T.M. has been awarded. Master of Theology One related academic degree in theology is the Master of Theology M.Th. or Th.M. . The M.Th. and the S.T.M. differ in that the former places more emphasis on the academic study of theology while the latter usually places emphasis on pastoral and practical aspects of theology.
