Biography The band s first album, Feeds You , was released in 2003 after John Zorn heard a copy of the band s demo and asked them to record an album for his Tzadik label. It was well received by Japanese critics. Koji Narazaki drums left the band after exhausting touring in 2005. Touring In March 2004, the band toured the United States including a show at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas where they quickly built a devoted following from word of mouth stories about their explosive live shows.     My Husband Has Gone Ibanyi Agyenzire in Runyankole Rukiga is a poem by Uganda n writer Mukotani Rugyendo , composed originally in Runyankole Rukiga in 1969 and translated into English for an anthology shortly thereafter. It is a popular feature of East Africa n secondary school examinations and has also featured in Oxford University Press Oxford s English collection from the region. History Rugyendo originally penned the poem in her Senior Six at Ntare School in Mbarara . Some time later Richard Ntiru, editor of the poetry collection Tensions , and an old schoolmate, wrote to her from Uganda Publishing House in Kampala , where he was doing vacation work, to let her know that the house was looking to collect poems originally composed in mother tongues and translated by their authors into English. Rugyendo complied, submitting two pieces in both forms. One was My Husband Has Gone . ref Rugyendo 2007. Sherman . The song melody is a slowed down version of The Life I Lead which serves as Banks leit motif as he was tired. In both the motion picture and the stage musical, the song is performed as a conversational duet between Bert, the chiminey sweep Dick Van Dyke and George Banks David Tomlinson . It is operatic in nature, sung dialogue, and was highly unusual for a musical film of that era. The song incorporates a reprise of A Spoonful of Sugar which is Mary Poppins leit motif . The melody first appears as George Banks marches into the front door of his home. At that point in the film, the song is bouncy in nature to reflect Banks triumphant spirit. The song is then titled, The Life I Lead . It is reprised several times throughout the film. The final reprise is sung when Banks thinks he has lost everything, during which the music somber and the song itself retitled as, A Man Has Dreams . This song is pivotal in both the Mary Poppins musical stage musical as well as the film. History According to Disney archival records, the song was originally titled Mr. Banks and Bert Converse but the title was changed to its present one, prior to first print publication of sheet music.
