It was drawn by Dennis the Menace UK Dennis the Menace artist Jimmy Hansen. Overview The series focussed on a class of Puberty prepubescent children in a school Class P5, similar to The Bash Street Kids of The Beano . Each strip would sometimes focus on an individual in the group, and how they deal with situations that came up in school. As the series went on, the character of Kim was dropped for reasons that went unexplained in the strips, and the character of Dotty was moved from Preschool education preschool class into P5. The strips also moved away from individual stories and focussed more on the group as a whole. In Issue 3000, the kids had grown up to become adults with a Class reunion school reunion theme, with Miss Truncheon now working in a Jobcentre Plus job centre , until the last frame of the story when she immediately resigned, saying she wanted to stay away from that lot , who had all since taken jobs at the same job centre. P5 returned as a reprint on 4 November 2006 under the new title of Class Act . The reprints are mainly from 1998 and 1999 for DC Thomson s policy of comic strips being at least 7 years old before they are reprinted. These reprints ended when The Dandy relaunched in August 2007. Not to be confused with the American Lutheran evangelist, C. F. W. Walther . Carl William Freund Walther 22 November 1858 &ndash 9 July 1915 was a Germans German gunsmith from Zella Mehlis , Saxe Coburg and Gotha , who founded the firm of Walther arms Carl Walther GmbH Sportwaffen , generally known as Walther, in 1886. Walther s father, August Theodor Albert Walther, was a brass and iron caster. His mother, Rosalie Wilhelmine Amalie Pistor, came from the gunsmith family of Pistor, and was the daughter of William Pistor. Walther studied under gunsmith Willibald Barthelmes, and later under Albin Schneider. He worked making Mauser rifles for the Jopp company in Zella Mehlis. In autumn 1886 he opened his own gunshop in Zella Mehlis and soon hired additional workmen to meet the demand for the sports target rifles he made. His rifles were based on the Martini Henry design. In 1888, he married Minna Georgine Pickert, the daughter of the revolver manufacturer Christian Friedrich Pickert, and they had five sons.
