Biography Don Victoriano Castellanos Cortes, was born in Santa Rosa de Copan on March 23, 1796 and died a December 11, 1865 in Comayagua. He was educated by Catholic parish priest Pedro Antonio Pineda, was a miner and headed to the political environment. On February 3, 1860 elected vice president of the nation, being the President General Jose Santos Guardiola, who was killed in Comayagua un January 11, 1862 for his own Presidential Guard. Mr. Victoriano took the provisional government of the nation a February 4 of that year, in the town of Guarita, today part of the Department of Lempira when returning from traveling from the Republic of El Salvador and transfer the Capital of Honduras from Santa Rosa city. Felix de Huerta was a Franciscan scholar and missionary to the Philippines , best known today as the author of Estado geogr fico, topogr fico, estad stico, hist rico religioso de la santa y apost lica Provincia de San Gregorio Magno , a record of the histories Catholic parishes which is now an essential tool local histories of Philippine municipalities . Another of his achievements was convincing the Archbishop of Manila and the government to establish what would later become the Manila s Mount of Piety Monte de Piedad Savings and Mortgage Bank , with the intent of providing a savings bank for Manila s poor which would charge moderate interest rates. In 1859, having been assigned as administrator of San Lazaro Hospital for lepers , Fr. Huerta worked hard to have the hospital reconstructed instead of being closed for being run down. In his search through financial documents during this effort, he discovered the existence of a previously forgotten fund by General Francisco Carriedo y Peredo for the creation of the first water system in Manila. Fr. Huerta pursued this project as well, and as a result the water system, with 153 hydrants, was inaugurated on August 23, 1882. La Huerta , or Huerta de Mataquito is a village aldea or small town near the north bank of the Mataquito River , in the Huala commune, in the Curic Province , in the Maule Region , of Chile . It is 45 kilometers west of the city of Curic .
