His grandfather was Dmitry Donskoy which has solved crown inheritance with law in which his oldest son Vasily I of Moscow Vasily I will become Grand Prince after his death and second in line is Donskoy younger son Yury Dmitrievich. After coming to power Kosoy uncle Vasily I will change laws so that his sons will become crown heirs and not Kosoy father. Signification of this decision will be 2 civil wars between older and younger Dmitry Donskoy line.
