It was founded in 1967 with the help of the university and Rotary International . This International House is part of the International Houses world wide, a group of residential houses in Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Japan and Taiwan. It is home to 200 undergraduate and postgraduate students currently studying at the University of Sydney. In the year 2010, International House was acceped into the Palladian Cup on a trial basis. This is the Cup for the Six College s which includes debating, drama, oration, choral and dance. The acceptance of International House was not supported by the students who reside in the Six College s but by the administration. For this reason International House has been blocked from competing in the two sporting cups. To date International House has not been recognised by the Six College s as a member of intercol, this is unlikely to change as they are a residential house not a college. Each revue features comedy sketches, songs and videos written and performed by students, usually commenting satirically on current affairs, the supporting faculty and general student life. The revues are produced and sponsored by the University of Sydney Union and presented in a collective season . Of the revues, the largest are the Arts Revue , Engineering Revue , University of Sydney Science Revue Science Revue , Med Revue , Law Revue and Architecture Revue . 2007 saw the first Women s Revue which returned in 2009, while the Commerce Revue made its debut in 2008. A Pharmacy Revue was planned for 2009, but was cancelled postponed. The first Queer Revue was performed in 2010.
