A system is typically described as wideband if the message bandwidth significantly exceeds the channel s coherence bandwidth . Some communication links have such a high data rate that they are forced to use a wideband bandwidth signal processing bandwidth others links may have relatively low data rates, but deliberately use a wider bandwidth than necessary for that data rate in order to gain other advantages see spread spectrum . A wideband antenna is one with approximately or exactly the same operating characteristics over a very wide passband. Distinguished from broadband antennas, where the passband is large, but the gain and or pattern need not stay the same over the passband. Wideband material refers to material that can convey Microwave signals light sound over a variety of wavelength s. These materials possess exemplary attenuation and dielectric constants, and are excellent dielectric s for semiconductor gate s. Examples of such material include gallium nitride GaN and silicon carbide SiC . SiC has been used extensively in the creation of laser s for several years. However, it performs poorly providing limited brightness because it has an indirect band gap . GaN has a wide band gap 3.4 eV , which usually results in high energies for structures which possess electron s in the conduction band . The Wideband Delphi estimation method is a consensus based technique for estimating effort. It derives from the Delphi Method which was developed in the 1940s at the RAND Corporation as a forecasting tool. It has since been adapted across many industries to estimate many kinds of tasks, ranging from statistical data collection results to sales and marketing forecasts. Wideband Delphi Process Barry Boehm and John A. Farquhar originated the Wideband variant of the Delphi method in the 1970s. They called it wideband because, compared to the existing delphi method, the new method involved greater interaction and more communication between those participating. The method was popularized by Boehm s book Software Engineering Economics 1981 . Boehm s original steps from this book were Coordinator presents each expert with a specification and an estimation form. Variable Rate Multimode Wideband VMR WB is a source controlled variable rate multimode codec designed for robust encoding decoding of wideband narrowband speech. The operation of VMR WB is controlled by speech signal characteristics i.e., source controlled and by traffic condition of the network i.e., network controlled mode switching . Depending on the traffic conditions and the desired quality of service Quality of service QoS , one of the 4 operational modes is used. All operating modes of the existing VMR WB standard are fully compliant with cdma2000 rate set II. VMR WB modes 0, 1, and 2 are cdma2000 native modes with mode 0 providing the highest quality and mode 2 the lowest ADR. Original research date August 2007 Unreferenced date August 2007 An ultra lounge is a style nightclub lounge, that came to prominence in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Ultralounges tend to be small to mid sized venues, featuring cocktails and an upscale atmosphere. Among the design details, ultra lounge style nightclubs may have subtly changing neon and vivid coloured lights, and seating groupings for people to socialize. Ultra lounge style clubs sometimes create privacy around the seating areas with room dividers, sheets or curtains. Unlike most nightclubs, ultra lounges rarely have a separate dance floor. Some clubs have semi private rooms with mattresses to lounge on and socialize. The music is often more subdued white room or ambient house type music instead of loud dance music or techno. These clubs offer a range of cocktails and drinks, and sometimes serve bar food such as tapas style finger food .
