Searcy was the frontman of the Louisville punk group Squirrel Bait in the 1980s. After Squirrel Bait disbanded, Searcy along with Squirrel Bait drummer Ben Daughtrey formed a funk rock group called Fanci Pantz. Fanci Pantz garnered a lot of praise and major label attention, but they broke up before they could record an album. After the demise of Fanci Pantz, Searcy joined Big Wheel band Big Wheel in 1989, which released three albums two on Mammoth Records before breaking up in 1993. His next band, Starbilly , released only one album, after which Searcy began performing solo. He released one album on Time Bomb Recordings in 2000, followed by a self released extended play EP and a second full length album on Initial Records in 2004. His newest release, now on Label X & Toucan Cove Entertainment, is titled Spark and features the single I Believe .     Summary Searcy, Clarence and Keren UNIVERSITY PARK Former Charleston residents, Keren Sue Searcy, 58, died Thursday June 15, 2006 and Clarence Alexander Searcy III, 59, died June 16, 2006 at St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields. Keren died after a long battle with cancer, and Clarence died hours later of heart failure. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the All Nations Community Church in Homewood. Visitation will be 6 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. Saturday until service time at the church. A graveside service will be 2 30 p.m. Monday at Liberty Cemetery in Hutton Township. The Leak and Sons Funeral Home, in Country Club Hills, is in charge of arrangements. Clarence was born Nov. 24, 1946, a son of Clarence Searcy Jr. and Mamie Hampton. His survivors include brothers, Kenneth, Andrew and Curtis Searcy and a sister, Elise. Mr. Searcy worked for Yellow Freight and was an Army veteran of Vietnam. Keren was born Dec. 2, 1947, a daughter of the Rev. Craig and Imogene Dillman. Survivors include her parents a brother, Boyce Dillman of Charleston sisters, Joyce Craft of Charleston and Sharolyn. Mrs. Searcy taught school in Shelbyville and later retired as a teacher from Homewood Christian Academy. Mr. and Mrs. Searcy were married in 1974. They are survived by sons, Clarence, Kaleb and Thaddeus daughters, Shauna and Amber and one grandchild. He served as both state representative and state senator from Houston. Bracewell was born on January 19, 1918 and died on May 13, 2003. A member of the Texas House of Representatives from 1947 to 1949 and the Texas Senate from 1949 to 1959, Bracewell wrote bills establishing what later became the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School. He later ran an unsuccessful campaign for the U.S. Senate in a special election in 1957. In 1945, he, his father, his brother, and a future state District Judge joined to form the precursor of the firm that became Bracewell & Giuliani when former New York City mayor Rudolph W.
