Largely responsible for development of the POWER5 , he is one of the most prolific inventors in the world, being awarded 78 patent s in 2002 and a further 53 in 2003. He has won IBM s Inventor of the Year award each year since 1998. He is NOT the youngest IBM Fellow contrary to what some news reports have mentioned .
