Founded in January 2005, it is one of London s leading free music magazines. Issue 01 of Loud And Quiet featured Pete Doherty on its cover. Only 150 copies were published and distributed through independent record shops and clothes shops in London, England. Since then Patrick Wolf , Crystal Castles band Crystal Castles , Foals , Black Lips , Dizzee Rascal and Mark Ronson have all featured on the cover. Quiet Men features prominent synthesizer and guitar riffs and was one of the more popular songs of the John Foxx era. It was performed in concert by Ultravox from March 1978 until the Vienna Tour in 1980 81 with Midge Ure singing. John Foxx also continued to perform the song live in his solo concerts. The B side is Cross Fade , a pure synthpop piece that did not appear on the album. It was never performed live. distinguish Silent disco Quiet Parties also known as Silent Parties and as Silent Dating parties are nightclub events where participants socialize by writing notes to each other instead of speaking. The single rule at these events is no talking. The concept is believed to have been created in 2002 by artist Paul Rebhan and musician Tony Noe, two friends who visited several bars in New York City in an attempt to have a conversation, only to find they could not hear each other speak at any bar because of loud music and loud talking. This experience prompted them to invent the concept of silent nightclubbing .
