She predeceased Aristotle, which is known from his will, since it directs that her wish be honored to have her bones buried with his. Together Aristotle and Pythias had a daughter, also named Pythias. This Pythias married three times, but is also said to have predeceased her father. Her first husband was Nicanor , Aristotle s nephew by his sister Arimneste . According to Aristotle s will, Nicanor was to manage the family affairs until his son, Nicomachus son of Aristotle Nicomachus came of age. Pythias second husband was Procles of Sparta .     Pythias Russ 1904 1930 was an United States American catcher and right handed batter baseball batter in the Negro league baseball Negro Leagues whose career and life were cut short by illness. Russ was a star college athlete in baseball, basketball, and track and field. He was named an All American football player in 1924. Candy Jim Taylor signed him to play for the Memphis Red Sox for the 1925 season, where he split catching duties with Larry Brown catcher Larry Brown and hit .327. He moved to the Chicago American Giants in 1926 and hit .268 that season. In 1927, Russ batted .350 and was 8 for 35 in the 1927 Colored World Series. Russ switched to shortstop in 1928 and hit .405 to win the Negro National League 1920 1931 NNL batting title, and hit .407 in the postseason to help Chicago to the league championship. In 1929, he hit .386 to finish second in that category, and hit 11 triples. He fell ill with tuberculosis early in 1930 and died in August of that year. His lifetime batting average in the Negro Leagues was .350.     Justus Henry Rathbone Deerfield, New York , October 29, 1839 December 9, 1889, Lima, Ohio was the founder of the international fraternal order of the Knights of Pythias . He graduated from Colgate University and attended Carlisle Seminary . He was a music composer and actor . In 1863 he moved to Washington D.C. as a government clerk in the Treasury Department , where he founded the Knights of Pythias on February 19, 1864.
