Series 1 was narrated by the actress Jill Halfpenny and series 2 by Sharon Horgan. In Australia it is shown on ABC2 and titled Eataholics . Synopsis The series follows a different person each episode who has an eating disorder such as a selective eating disorder an extremely restricted diet, often to the point of avoiding entire food groups , or food neophobia . With the help of a team of experts, a number of techniques are employed to help the person overcome their problems and develop more healthy diets. The first series was presented by nutritionist Natalie Savona and psychological coach Benjamin Fry. For the second series, psychologist Dr. Stephen Briers took over from Benjamin Fry. In series 3, Charlotte Watts takes over as nutritionist and Felix Economakis as the psychological coach. Dr. Pixie McKenna is the Physician doctor across all three series. Story The history of the comic follows ours, until one night during the winter of 1943 , when a number of bright lights appeared over Nazi occupied Europe. The parasites are discovered by a team of local scientists who have been studying a mysterious, three story tall, cone shaped object which appears to have crashed outside the town from some place in outer space. It quickly becomes obvious that the first victims of the parasites are being deliberately directed to infect the town s leading citizens. Next in line were communication functionaries where citizens were given additional parasites so that the town can become a facilitation point for spreading further parasites across the country. The Lotos Eaters is a poem by Alfred, Lord Tennyson Alfred Tennyson, 1st Baron Tennyson , published in Tennyson s 1832 poetry collection. It was inspired by his trip to Spain with his close friend Arthur Hallam , where they visited the Pyrenees mountains. The poem describes a group of mariners who, upon eating the Lotus tree lotos , are put into an altered state and isolated from the outside world. Background In the summer of 1829, Tennyson and Arthur Hallam made a trek into conflict torn northern Spain.
