Currently the school has 803 students in the school 6th, 7th, and 8th Houses and Teams In the school, there are three large hallways, called a house , because each team is in the hallway. There is a Blue 6th Grade House, a green 7th Grade house, and a pink 8th Grade House. Each hallway makes 3 sides to a square. In each hallway, there are two to three teams, named by directions. In the 6th and 8th grade halls, which go left to right, have a West, an East, and the 6th grade has a Central team, each having two to five teachers. The 7th grade hall goes up and down, and has the north and south teams. Each team teacher teaches a core or required subject. The student spend most of the learning with their teams. Construction of the Parkway Manor Elementary School began in 1959 as the first step in a 3 million dollar renovation program to district buildings. Briefly known as the Calvin S. Frankenfield Elementary School, who was a native of South Whitehall Township and was employed by Parkland School District for 27 year as a teacher, administrator, and the associate superintendent, the building was dedicated in 1961. The 550,000 building had glass in hallways and the multi purpose room was the highlight. In 1966 the building experienced a 675,000 makeover to include ten classrooms, four special education rooms, two kindergartens, and a new gymnasium. A second addition was approved by the Parkland Board of School Directors in 1994. This 3.5 million dollar addition was not to increase student capacity, but instead, provide students with comparable facilities to the other elementary schools. Today, Parkway Manor Elementary School consists of 27 classrooms and has 663 students enrolled. Parkway Manor is the home of the Panthers.
