  1. Pipeline Open Data Standard

The Pipeline Open Data Standard PODS Data Model is used by oil and gas pipeline operators to store pipeline asset and related regulatory compliance and operational data in a Geographic Information System GIS . The PODS Data Model provides the structure to associate pipeline data records, such as inspection results, with each specific pipe segment and geographic location. These data records may include partial list centerline location, pipeline materials and coatings, MAOP, valves and pipeline components, cathodic protection facilities and inspection results, hydrotesting, operating conditions, physical inspection results, leak detection surveys, repairs, foreign line crossings, inline inspection ILI results, close interval survey results, pump and compression equipment specifications, geographic boundaries, external records, risk analysis methods and results, regulatory reports, and pipeline and ROW maintenance activities, among others. This pipe centric approach to managing pipeline data in a single data repository, a PODS database, helps pipeline owners to collect, verify, manage, analyze, update, maintain, and deliver all the information about their pipelines quickly and reliably to applications and end users. Since the data records are linked to the pipe segment, re route, change of service, asset transfer or sale, abandonment, removal, repair, and replacement are all managed within the PODS database. 1. Open Scripture Information Standard

Open Scripture Information Standard OSIS is an XML application or XML schema schema , that defines tags for Markup language marking up Bibles, theological commentaries, and other related literature. The OSIS schema was developed by the Bible Technologies Group, a joint committee sponsored by the American Bible Society and the Society of Biblical Literature . Other participants in the standards work are the United Bible Societies , the SIL International Summer Institute of Linguistics , and various national Bible societies, along with individual expert volunteers. The officers include Steven DeRose chair , Kees DeBlois vice chair , and Patrick Durusau editor . As of mid 2006, the current version is 2.1.1. The schema is very similar to that of the Text Encoding Initiative , though on the one hand much simpler by omission of many unneeded constructs , and on the other hand adding much more detailed metadata , and a formal canonical reference system to identify books, chapters, verses, and particular locations within verses. The metadata includes a work declaration for the work itself, and for each work it references. A work declaration provides basic catalog information based on the Dublin Core standard, and assigns a local short name for the work similar to XML namespace declarations . OSIS gives particular attention to encoding overlapping markup , because Bibles exhibit such markup frequently, for example verses crossing paragraph boundaries and vice versa. The OSIS schema introduced a method for encoding overlap in XML, known as Trojan milestones , or Clix . Cleanup date April 2009 A free libre standard is a standard whose specification is publicly available. Users of a free standard have the same freedoms associated with free software , and the freedom to participate in its development process. The standardisation process typically requires a complete free software reference implementation, which demonstrates that it is implementable and renders it usable.
