The MONS Telescope is a reflector of 50 cm in diameter, constructed by the University of Mons Belgium in 1972 for purposes night. It is located at Observatorio del Teide on Tenerife , and is operated by the Instituto de Astrof sica de Canarias . The telescope was used in the early practices of the Department of Astrophysics in Universidad de La Laguna and it s still basically oriented education so that many colleges require their use for practical as well as groups of astronomic amateur.
