    Arthur Blundell Sandys Trumbull Hill, 3rd Marquess of Downshire Order of St Patrick KP 8 October 1788, Hanover Square 12 September 1845 was an Irish peer, styled Viscount Fairford until 1793 and Earl of Hillsborough from 1793 to 1801. The elder son of Arthur Hill, 2nd Marquess of Downshire and Mary Sandys, he became Marquess of Downshire on the death of his father in 1801.     Downshire Cliffs coor dm 71 37 S 170 36 E is a line of precipitous basalt cliffs rising to 2,000 m above the Ross Sea and forming much of the east side of Adare Peninsula along the coast of Victoria Land . In 1841 Captain James Clark Ross James Ross applied the name Cape Downshire to a part of these cliffs. He did so at the request of Commander Francis R.M. Crozier of the Downshire.
