The competition rotates all around the world and is held annually usually during early spring. The art of storytelling has long been a part of many cultures. It was the primary method of telling the family history so that it would be carried on through the ages before writing. As a result, writing took over as the primary way to keep family history, and the art of storytelling seemed almost to disappear.
