John Gordo Gordon born July 7, 1940 is a Major League Baseball radio broadcaster who is best known as the play by play announcer for the Minnesota Twins on the Twins Radio Network and their Metro Affiliate KSTP AM KSTP 1500 AM . He is well known among Twins fans for his intense emotional style of play calling, and for his trademark call of each Twins home run Touch em all, including the name of the player who hit the home run . Career Gordon was born JohnGordon Gutowsky in Detroit , Michigan and began his career in broadcasting with the class A Spartanburg Phillies in 1965 after earning a degree from Indiana University . In 1970 he left Spartanburg to join the Baltimore Orioles broadcast team, a job which he left in 1973 to accept a job as the head broadcaster at the University of Virginia where he called basketball and American football football games. In 1977 he joined the broadcast team for the New York Yankees AAA affiliate, the Columbus Clippers , and in 1982 he moved up to the Yankees major league broadcast crew, where he remained through 1986. JohnGordon c. 1776 16 July 1858 , was a British politician. Gordon was the son of Charles Gordon of Braid and Cluny, Aberdeenshire, and his wife Johanna Trotter. Gordon became 2nd lieutenant in the Royal Aberdeenshire Light Infantry on 2 December 1800. He was then lieutenant in the 7th Company of the 55th Aberdeenshire Militia on 25 April 1804. In 1804 Gordon made a grand tour of Egypt, carving his name on many ancient monuments. He returned home via Gibraltar where he boarded HMS Victory , which also brought home the mortal remains of Lord Nelson Admiral Horatio Nelson . He arrived back in England in December 1805. He was rapidly promoted, and by the end of the decade was overseeing the Perthshire and Dundee editions of the People s Journal . In 1911, he moved to the London office of the Dundee Advertiser , then the London office of the Glasgow Herald . Editor Beverley Baxter promised to increase his wages, but forgot, and Gordon resigned. However, owner Lord Beaverbrook was keen to retain Gordon, and appointed him editor of the Sunday Express in 1928. Between 1928 and 1952, Gordon raised circulation of the Sunday Express from 450,000 to 3.2 million. In 1930, he commissioned R. H. Naylor to write a horoscope for the birth of Princess Margaret .
