It was aired on Saturday 10 November 2007 on BBC One . Plot The Sheriff s Black Knights gather at the castle to attend a feast and declare their allegiance to Prince John by signing the Great Pact of Nottingham. With the outlaws disguised as entertainers, Robin infiltrates the castle to join forces with the only man who can stop them former Sheriff Edward s old ally and Black Knight, the Sheriff of Winchester. Winchester s territory is key to the Sheriff s Shah Mat plan that will apprehend a homecoming King Richard at the southern ports. Once Robin is satisfied he has convinced Winchester to stand up to the Sheriff, he sends the outlaws on a diversionary mission and writes a farewell letter to Marian. Her father suffered a mental breakdown during her early childhood. Following a move to Blackheath, London, with his family, he committed suicide in 1929. Joan received early art training at the local art school in Blackheath, and subsequently at Goldsmiths College. In 1940, the family, consisting of Joan, her mother Irene and younger sister Pat, moved to the outskirts of Glasgow, and Joan enrolled at Glasgow College of Art as a day student. In 1943 she was awarded a diploma in drawing and painting, and won the Sir James Guthrie prize for portraiture. After continuing her studies under James Cowie, she won a scholarship which enabled her to travel to Italy and France. On her return to Glasgow, she started to draw and paint the poor children who lived in the streets surrounding her home. In 1951, while convalescing from mumps, she was taken by a friend to visit Catterline , a small fishing village near Stonehaven in Aberdeenshire. For the rest of her life, the vast majority of her paintings were either of coastal scenes near Catterline, painted often in the open air in stormy weather, or paintings of tenement children in Glasgow. Her work can be found in the National Galleries of Scotland as well as many other galleries across the world. She became a member of the Royal Scottish Academy in 1963, just before ...
