Naresh Dadhich born September 1, 1944 is a theoretical physics theoretical physicist and Emeritus Professor at IUCAA Inter University Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics IUCAA . He was also the director of IUCAA until August 31, 2009. Naresh Dadhich was born in Sarsali in Churu District , Rajasthan . He studied at Pilani, Hissar, Vallabh Vidyanagar and finally at Pune where he did his PhD in general relativity under the guidance of the highly respected mathematician and physicist, Vishnu Vasudev Narlikar father of Jayant Narlikar , the renowned Indian physicist . He was then hired by the Faculty of Mathematics at the Pune University until February 10, 1988, when he was invited to be the project coordinator for the creation of the IUCAA.
