It is a mild, semi firm cow s milk cheese with a beige interior and a thick brownish grey rind. Tomme de Savoie, like most Tommes, is usually made from the skim milk left over after the cream is used to make butter or richer cheeses. As a result, the cheese has a relatively low fat content between 20 and 45 . The cheese is made year round, and typically has a slightly different character depending on whether the cows are fed on winter hay or summer grass. The cheese normally comes in discs approximately 18  cm across, 5 8  cm in thickness, and weighing between 1 and 2  kg. It is first pressed, and then matured for several months in a traditional cellar, which produces the characteristically thick rind and adds flavor.     Unreferenced date December 2009 The title of Duc de Dalberg was created by the French Emperor Napoleon I on the 14th of April 1810 for Emmerich von Dalberg, the nephew of Karl Theodor von Dalberg , Prince Primate of the Confederation of the Rhine and Grand Duke of Frankfurt . He died on the 27th of April, 1833. His daughter and heiress married firstly Sir Richard Acton, 7th Baronet by whom she was the mother of John Dalberg Acton, 1st Baron Acton and secondly Granville George Leveson Gower, 2nd Earl Granville , but as the Duke had no sons, the title became extinct.     Duc de Beaumont was a French nobility French Duke though not a Peerage of France peerage created by Letters Patent in 1765. The title, referring to Beaumont du G tinais in the le de France province le de France , was created for Charles Fran ois Christian de Montmorency Luxembourg, son of Christian Louis, Prince de Tingry third son of Fran ois Henri de Montmorency, duc de Luxembourg and his wife Louise Madeleine de Harlay, comtesse de Beaumont. It became extinct on the death of the grantee s grandson in 1878.   1. Duc de Châtillon

    Duc de Ch tillon was a French nobility French noble title . The first creation, in 1643, was for Gaspard III de Coligny , a Marshal of France , who was also known as duc de Coligny . The title referred to Ch tillon sur Loing , a possession of the House of Coligny Coligny family . He was also to have been made a peer of France at the same time, but the letters patent were never registered. His son Gaspard IV also bore the title, and died in 1649. The dukedom was recreated in 1696 for Paul Sigismond de Montmorency Luxembourg, son of Fran ois Henri de Montmorency, duc de Luxembourg . He had inherited the lordship of Ch tillon from his aunt Angelique Elisabeth de Montmorency, widow of the last duc de Ch tillon. In 1713 he ceded the dukedom to his son, Charles Paul Sigismond, who received a brevet to be styled duc d Olonne as his father retained the Ch tillon title , though not the lands. In 1735 he in turn ceded the dukedom to his son Charles Anne Sigismond, who received a similar brevet as duc d Olonne. On his death in 1777 he was succeeded by his son, Anne Charles Sigismond, who had previously inherited the duchy peerage of Duc de Piney Piney Luxembourg . Both titles became extinct on the death of Charles Emmanuel Sigismond, duc de Montmorency Luxembourg, in 1861. Another creation, on 1 March 1736, referred not to Ch tillon sur Loing but to Ch tillon sur S vre . The grantee, who was also made a peer, was Charles Alexis Madeleine Rosalie House of Ch tillon de Ch tillon , a lieutenant general in the army and governor of Louis, Dauphin of France 1729 1765 the Dauphin . The duchy peerage became extinct on 15 November 1762 on the death of his son, Louis Gaucher, who had served as Grand Falconer of France .
