The Ladies IrishOpen is a professional golf tournament that is held in the Republic of Ireland . It was part of the Ladies European Tour schedule in 1983 and 1984, before being cancelled. The 1984 event was co sanctioned by the LPGA Tour . It returned in 1995, and after another brief hiatus following the 2003 edition, the tournament was revived again in 2008 Ladies European Tour 2008 as part of the build up to the 2011 Solheim Cup , due to be held at Killeen Castle, Dunsany Killeen Castle in County Meath .
