    The Irish Senior Open is the Ireland Irish stop on men s golf s European Seniors Tour . It was founded in 1997 and has been played at several different courses around Ireland.     The Ladies Irish Open is a professional golf tournament that is held in the Republic of Ireland . It was part of the Ladies European Tour schedule in 1983 and 1984, before being cancelled. The 1984 event was co sanctioned by the LPGA Tour . It returned in 1995, and after another brief hiatus following the 2003 edition, the tournament was revived again in 2008 Ladies European Tour 2008 as part of the build up to the 2011 Solheim Cup , due to be held at Killeen Castle, Dunsany Killeen Castle in County Meath . Killeen Castle hosted the Ladies Irish Open in 2010 Ladies European Tour 2010 and is scheduled again for 2011 Ladies European Tour 2011 in early August.
