The pieces were created in 1970, and have formed part of several exhibitions of contemporary art in museums around the world, most recently in the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art in San Diego , United States . On each occasion, the pair have been displayed together as a combined installation. Description The pieces are displayed in a specially constructed octagonal chamber. The floor, ceiling, and every wall are all painted in a deep burgundy color burgundy , and are carefully and evenly lit. Stuck Red and Stuck Blue are placed on two of the longer walls, which are separated by a shorter corner wall. The pieces each consist of a recess cut into one of the walls, each equidistant from the adjoining corner. Inside of each of the recesses is a coloured fluorescent light red in Stuck Red , blue in Stuck Blue . The lights aren t visible directly, but they illuminate exactly the space cut from the wall, with no spillage. The walls of the recesses are painted white, but by reflecting the light from the fluorescent lamps appear to be different colours. Stuck on You was the third in a series of four sexy comedies that helped establish Troma, beginning with 1979 s smash hit Squeeze Play , 1981 s Waitress , and followed by 1983 s The First Turn On . The film, supposedly inspired by the writings of Tom Lehrer and Stan Freeberg , follows estranged couple Bill and Carol, who are in a palimony suit against each other. The angel Gabriel played by Professor Irwin Corey is sent down to act as judge in their suit, in hopes of bringing the couple back together. A stuck fermentation wine fermentation occurs in Brewing beer brewing beer or winemaking when the yeast become dormant before the fermentation food fermentation has completed. Unlike an arrested fermentation where the winemaker intentionally stops fermentation such as in the production of fortified wine s , a stuck fermentation is an unintentional and unwanted occurrence that can lead to the wine being spoiled by bacteria and oxidation . There are several potential causes of a stuck fermentation the most common are excessive temperatures killing off the yeast or a must deficient in the nitrogen food source needed for the yeast to the thrive. Once the fermentation is stuck, it is very difficult to restart due to a chemical compound released by dying yeast cells that inhibit the future growth of yeast cells in the batch. At the winery winemakers take several steps to limit the possibility of a stuck fermentation occurring, such as adding nitrogen to the must in the form diammonium phosphate or using cultured yeast with a high temperature and alcohol tolerance.
