For the social relationship of Horizontalism Horizontalidad Horizontalism is an approach to monetary circuit theory money creation theory pioneered by Basil Moore economist Basil Moore which states that private bank reserves are not managed by central bank s. Instead reserves will be provided on demand at the bank rate set by the central bank. This inverts the mainstream textbook money multiplier relationship between deposits and loans since loans are said to cause deposits which in turn cause reserves. Horizontalism influenced monetary circuit theory monetary circuit theorists to develop the endogenous money approach that was already nascent within Post Keynesian academic thought. It states that an increasing demand for loans by bank customers leads to banks making more loans and creating more deposits, without regard to the size of the bank s available reserves. Thus credit money created by private bank s can be seen to be leveraging of those reserves without the guidance of a particular leverage ratio , ie horizontal leveraging. Camera del Lavoro were centers for Italy Italian Syndicalist labor unions, modeled on the French Bourse du Travail , which flourished from 1895 to the rise of Fascism in Italy Fascism in the 1920s. In its initial conception, Camere del Lavoro brought together all unions in a given locality, gave them a shared democratic political structure, and provided services to unions, workers, and communities. Most were initially funded by reformist , socialist and Radicalization radical municipal councils. Ideologically, many of the founders of Camere were syndicalists , anarchists , socialists , and those involved the cooperative movement. The first founders saw Camere as less a union hall, and more the seeds of a future Horizontalidad horizontalist societal structure. But by the time of the First World War , unions were consolidating into politically divergent federations, and most Camere were wedded to one or another. With the rise of the socialist later Italian Communist Party communist led Confederazione Generale del Lavoro , and the cross party union concentration following the Second World War , Camere del Lavoro became simply the headquarters of union locals. There are several thousand operating today one in most every Italian town. Most are tied to the Confederazione Generale Italiana del Lavoro union, though most leftist labor groups maintain their own.
