Patani Bohras are Bohras that follow Sunni Hanafi fiqh . Most other factions of of the Bohras community follow Mustaali Ismaili Shia fiqh. History In fifteenth century, there was Schism religion schism in Bohra community of Patan in Gujarat as large number converted from Mustaali Ismaili to Hanafi Sunni sect. The leader of this conversion movement to Sunni was Syed Jafar Ahmad Shirazi who also had the support of Mughal Empire Mughal governor of Gujarat. Thus this new group is known as Jafari Bohras and Patani Bohras. In 1538, Syed Jafar Ahmad Shirazi convinced Patani Bohras to cease social relations with Ismaili Bohras. Hadith collections Zujajat al Masabih is the renowned five volume compendium of Hadith literature, authored by Muhaddith e Dakkan Abul Hasanat Syed Abdullah Shah Naqshbandi , popularly known as Hadrat Abdullah Shah Sahib, who was one of the most celebrated scholars of Islam from Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh Hyderabad India . The Zujajah was Published from Hyderabad Deccan India in the 1960s and was acclaimed by Hanafi scholars throughout the World. The book is very special in that it modeled exactly on the pattern and structure of Mishkat al Masabih by Al Tabrizi but is a treasure of Hanafi Hadith proofs. The Mishkat has a leaning towards the Shafi i school of thought while Sayyid Abdullah Shah Naqshbandi composed the Zujajah giving preference to Hanafi proofs.
