    George Robert Fitzgerald , aka Fighting Fitzgerald , Irish people Irish Eccentricity behavior eccentric , died 1786. FitzGerald was of the family of Turlough, Castlebar . A highly eccentric character, he is said to have become so after a blow to the head sometime in his 20 s. He fought many duels, including one with Richard Martin M.P. in the barrack s yard of Castlebar, in which both were wounded. Another, with a Mr. French, occurred in Castlebar. French was accused of rustling cattle from Fitzgerald s father the duel is said to have started near the bridge at the bottom of Main Street and proceeded with the contestants jumping from one side of the street to the other, smashing traders stalls in the process. The duel ended on Ellison Street and there appears to have been no serious injury to the pair. FitzGerald was hung in 1786. FitzGerald FitzGerald is a large Moon lunar Impact crater crater on the Far side Moon far side of the Moon . It lies to the west southwest of the crater Cockcroft crater Cockcroft , and about two crater diameters to the northeast of Morse crater Morse . This is an impact crater with features that have become softened and eroded by subsequent impacts in the vicinity. The younger satellite crater FitzGerald W is attached to the exterior along the northwest. Faint Ray system ray material extends from the southeastern rim of this satellite across the western floor of FitzGerald, although it is unclear if this impact is the source or if it came from the rayed crater Moore lunar crater Moore F to the north. Several spammer craters also lie along the rim of FitzGerald, with a joined pair along the eastern rim and two more along the western edge. The inner walls display some indications of past slumping and wiktionary terrace terracing , although these features have become smoothed out with time. The interior floor is a nearly level, featureless plain, with some slight irregularities to the northeast.     William Sinton FitzGerald 6 October 1880 3 October 1937 was an United States American politician of the Republican Party United States Republican Party who served as the 39th List of Mayors of Cleveland, Ohio mayor of Cleveland, Ohio Cleveland , Ohio . FitzGerald was born in Washington, D.C. He received public education and attended The George Washington University George Washington University , graduating with a Master of Laws degree in 1903. The following year, he moved to Cleveland, was admitted to the Ohio bar association , and began practicing law. In 1911 he was elected as a Republican city councilman for Ward 11, serving two terms. Under Mayor Harry L. Davis , FitzGerald was appointed law director. When Davis resigned in 1920 to campaign for governor, FitzGerald became mayor. In the 1921 mayoral election, FitzGerald was defeated by Frederick Kohler and returned to private practice. He married Margaret Chilton Tucker on January 14 1920, and they had a son, William Sinton, Junior. They were divorced in 1922, and he married Carolina Granger on March 23, 1933. He died in North Royalton at age 56. William Sinton, Junior married Marilyn Karl.
