In the Victory Hotel at Lilla Nygatan, a few builders found 18 000 silver coins and 84 silver objects buried in a corner of what today is the hotel s bar, Leijonbaren. At the end of the 18th century, a rich family by the name of Lohe lived in the building, and the treasure was probably a part of the family s fortune, but nobody knows for sure why it was buired and why it was forgotten. The treasure can be seen at the Stockholm City Museum and the Royal Coin Cabinet. Crerar Hotels are a hotel chain managed by Crerar Management Ltd. History The Cheshire Public House Trust Company was founded in 1902 by the fourth Albert Grey, 4th Earl Grey . His mission statement was to improve on standards offered by the average British inn, to offer value for money and to distribute a percentage of profits to charity . The first trust to be set up was British Trust Hotels. Nine businessmen invested in this company and half the shareholding was settled in trust to ensure that a percentage of the profits were indeed distributed to charitable organisations. Paddy Crerar joined North British Trust Group Ltd as a trainee and worked his way up the ranks appointed Managing Director of British Trust Hotels in October 1999 and Group Managing Director Chief Executive of North British Trust Group in April 2003.
