The VP2000 was succeeded in 1995 by the VPP300, a massively parallel supercomputer with up to 256 vector processors. The VP2000 was similar in many ways to their earlier designs, and in turn to the Cray 1 , using a processor register register based vector processor for performance. For additional performance the vector units supported a special multiply and add instruction that could retire two results per clock cycle. This instruction chain is particularly common in many supercomputer applications. Another difference is that the main scalar units of the processor ran at half the speed of the vector unit. According to Amdahl s Law computers tend to run at the speed of their slowest unit, and in this case unless the program spent most of its time in the vector units, the slower scalar performance would make it 1 2 the performance of a Cray 1 at the same speed. The reason for this seemingly odd feature is unclear. Orphan date April 2010 Fujitsu Lifebook T900 is a new Tablet PC from Fujitsu. It runs the new Windows 7 operating system. It comes with a Core i5, and DDR3 RAM running at 1067 MHz on the standard configurations. The T900 comes with a new Dual Digitizer Not available on models with indoor outdoor display option enabled , a LED backlit display, and a WXGA display with wide viewing angles. The new Lifebook T900 offers the 2010 Core i5 provides performance greater over any of the current Intel Core 2 Duo. The new Core i5 models include a new technology by Intel called Turbo Boost which can increase clock speeds when needed. Although the Core i5 offers superior performance to the Previous generation, the Core 2 Duo, there is an option to upgrade to a Core i7 620m a Non Quad Core version which has a slightly better performance. The clocks range from 2.4 to 2.66 GHz with Turbo Boosts from 2.93 to 3.33 GHz Note that all processors come with a level 3 cache of 3 MB, except for the Core i7 620m which has 4MB . Graphics The HD graphics in the Lifebook T900 is integrated with the new Core i s 3, 5, and 7 on the same chip. With one race to spare, Jonathon Webb secured the championship, in doing so becoming the first driver from MW Motorsport to win the title after having competed in the very first championship for second tier V8 Supercars. Ford drivers filled the top seven places with Grant Denyer , Daniel Gaunt , Brad Lowe and Damian Assaillit filling those positions.
