Directelection is a term describing a system of choosing political officeholders in which the voters directly cast ballots for the person, persons or political party that they desire to see elected. The method by which the winner or winners of a directelection are chosen depends upon the voting system electoral system used. The most commonly used systems are the Plurality electoral system plurality system and the two round system for single winner elections, such as a presidential election, and party list proportional representation for the election of a legislature . For example all linear relationships with a Positive number positive slope are direct relationships. Such direct relationships are very widely used in science and mathematics . In a direct relationship, as one variable, say x , increases, the other variable, say y , also increases, and if one variable decreases, the other variable decreases. The formula for a direct linear relation is y a kx , where k is positive constant and a is a constant.
