Its members were motorcycle bikers who participated in the Quebec Biker war and also served the members of the Hells Angels Nomads chapter and other chapters in Quebec . The gang was created on March 26, 1992 and was primarily active in the Montreal area. Members of the group were arrested in the 2001 Operation Springtime by Quebec authorities. Various members were subsequently tried and pled guilty to various charges of gangsterism. History Jesse & The Rockers was formed in 1997 by Heath Hero Williamson as a side project to what he felt was his serious band. Originally consisting of Hero and Rocket, Larry was quickly added to the band. After some shuffling, the band members settled into their positions Hero on bass and lead vocals, Rocket on drums, and Larry on lead guitar. Early career In August 1997, the band started approaching their music from a more ministry oriented standpoint. Overview The six issue limited series Steeltown Rockers showcased the efforts of guitarist Johnny Degaestano and his friends to form and maintain a band in a former steel mill town that had become economically depressed since the shuttering of the mill. The series depicted the perseverance of the musicians as they not only put together the band, sought bookings, and dealt with intragroup personality conflicts but also faced such obstacles as alcoholism, poverty, racial and socioeconomic tension, and drug abuse. Uncommonly for a Marvel comic at that time, the comic featured no superheroes, no super villains, and no extraordinary powers of any kind, focusing solely on the lives of ordinary people.
