Hale started playing non League football for Yatton United and his home town team Clevedon Town F.C. Clevedon Town before joining Bristol Rovers as an amateur in 1951. He was awarded a professional contract on 19 February 1952 and made his first team debut in a Football League Second Division Division Two game in 1953. He initially played as an inside forward , and spent some time playing as an emergency forward association football centre forward following an injury to Geoff Bradford . He was later converted to a centre half, and played in that position for the majority of his professional career. Botus has been active since the 1960s and is considered one of the best steel drummers in the world. Life Belt began playing with the Desperadoes Steel Orchestra in the early 60s and became one of that orchestra s top steelpan musicians. In 1969, Botus moved to New York City New York and in 1976 formed what is now known as Despers USA . In the late 1970s, he moved to Boston, Massachusetts Boston where he formed Real Steel . Real Steel toured North America and won the International Music Festival in 1983. Real Steel was not only the only steel band in New England to win a competition outside of New England, but the only steel band to win a music competition outside of steel band competitions. Botus also wrote and performed steel drum music on the soundtrack to The Brother from Another Planet . He moved back to Trinidad in 1985, but returned when he would achieve his biggest feat and the biggest feat in steel band.     Denzil Stanley Batchelor 22 February 1906 6 September 1969 was a British people British journalist, writer, playwright and broadcaster. He reported on cricket and rugby union for several newspapers, including The Times , and at one time was the sports editor of the magazine Picture Post . He wrote books on a wide range of subjects, both sporting and non sporting, but is chiefly remembered for those on cricket and boxing . He is also remembered for his work as a broadcaster, wine connoisseur and novelist. He was born in Mumbai Bombay , India, and was the son of Sir Stanley Batchelor, a High Court judge. He was the secretary of the former cricketer C.B.
