Henry George Chancellor 3 June 1863 14 March 1945 , was a British Member of Parliament . Chancellor was the son of John & Louisa Chancellor, grocers, of Walton, Somerset Walton , near Street, Somerset Street in Somerset . He attended Elmfield College , and is shown in the 1881 census as a 17 year old Chemist s Apprentice living in Newent but then he moved to London in 1883 and married 1885. In 1891 he is listed as manager to graphite blacklead merchant whilst living at 55 Dresden Road, North Islington, with Mary Ann, their two eldest children Hilda & Nora plus his 19 yr old brother Harold C Chancellor, clerk to the said blacklead merchant. Harry became a partner in the family firm of C Chancellor & Co , paint manufacturers. In a patent application in 1919 by a third party, Messrs C Chancellor & Co of Higham Hill Works, St Andrew Road, Walthamstow , are quoted as the suppliers of an aluminium powder the applicant used in the manufacture of reflective cinema screens. By 1901 the job description had changed to colour paint merchant and he was noted to be an employer rather than a worker . At this time Harry, Polly and the five surviving children were living at No 2, Hornsey Rise in the Tollington Ward of Islington together with Polly s 41 year old sister Caroline Ann. Unreferenced date February 2010 Chancellor Records was a record label associated with ABC Paramount Records , which initially distributed the smaller label. Based in Philadelphia , PA, it was an integral part of the dominance of popular Philadelphia artists and music in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Its first hit was With All My Heart sung by Jodie Sands 1957 , but the major artists the label was famous for were Frankie Avalon and Fabian , and later Claudine Clark . The label was and is owned by Bob Marcucci , originally with partner Peter De Angelis Ray Sharkey played a version of Marcucci in the movie The Idolmaker 1980 . Alexander Chancellor born 4 January 1940 is a British journalist. He was the editor of the conservative The Spectator Spectator magazine from 1975 to 1984, and now contributes a weekly column in The Guardian , published in the Weekend supplement each Saturday.
