  1. Brine lake

Expert subject Science date November 2008 Brine lakes consist of water that has reached salt saturation or near saturation brine , and may also be heavily saturated with other materials. Most brine lakes develop as a result of high evaporation rates in an arid climate with a lack of an outlet to the ocean. The high salt content in these bodies of water may come from minerals deposited from the surrounding land. Another source for the salt may be that the body of water was formerly connected to the ocean. While the water evaporates from the lake, the salt remains. Eventually, the body of water will become brine. Because of the density of brine, swimmers are more buoyancy buoyant in brine than in fresh or ordinary salt water. Examples of such brine lakes are the Dead Sea and the Great Salt Lake . Bodies of brine may also form on the ocean floor at cold seep s. These are sometimes called brine lakes, but are more frequently referred to as brine pool s. It is possible to observe waves on the surface of these bodies. ref http www.oceanexplorer.noaa.gov explorations 06mexico logs may31 may31.html ref Man made bodies of brine are created for edible salt production. 1. John Brine

John Brine 1703 1765 , born in Kettering, Northamptonshire, was an English Particular Baptist . Brine was called into the ministry by the church at Kettering and after occasional preaching there for some time, he received a call to pastor a Particular Baptist church at Coventry . In 1730, he received a call to succeed William Morton, as pastor of the Baptist congregation at Curriers Hall, Cripplegate, in London. His ministry continued there for the next thirty five years during which time he took a principal lead in all the public activities and dialogue that concerned the Particular Baptist denomination. He died on February 21, 1765 and he was buried in Bunhill Fields cemetery. Although he left orders that no special funeral sermon should be preached for him, his friend, Dr. John Gill theologian John Gill did take that occasion to preach a sermon to his own congregation from 1 Corinthians 15 10 By the grace of God I am what I am. John Brine was a strong Calvinist in his theology and is associated with the extremes that became known at that time as Hyper Calvinism .
