It was hosted by the Nashville, Tennessee based disc jockey Bill Hoss Allen , and featured a house band led by Clarence Gatemouth Brown . As the show was to be recorded in color, WFAA , a Dallas TV station which had color facilities, recorded episodes of the program. At that time, none of the Nashville stations had color capability. All 26 episodes of the show are currently available on DVD . Allen appeared as host on all but the last show. Beat for Beat is a Norway Norwegian musical theatre musical variety show that airs every Friday on NRK1 . It has been on the air since 1999, and consistently ranks in the top of Norwegian viewing figures. It is hosted by Ivar Dyrhaug , who has been the host since the start. Concept The show is based upon Ireland Irish game show The Lyrics Board . The show consists of two teams of two members occasionally three or four , each with their own piano and pianist. The teams are then given clues and have to figure out what song the host is alluding to, in order to score points. The team with the most points in the end are the winners. The album was released by Household Name Records on 4 July 2005 on compact disc . Less of an extreme leap and more of a natural progression from their previous album The Answer Is Never , the album saw the addition of a keyboard played by the multi talented Nicholas Horne and the arrival of new drummer Jon Warren formerly of http www.workinlunch.com Workin Lunch . Household Name Records press release stated that Beat Heart, Beat features the bands strongest set of songs to date. With shimmering production, the band moves from crashing emotional rock, through upbeat post hardcore, to atmospheric melodic riffing with introspective, intelligent lyrics. Following on a mere 10 months it was actually 13 months after the brilliantly received The Answer Is Never with comparisons to Biffy Clyro , The Mars Volta , and RX Bandits , Howards Alias new album looks set to cement their reputation as ones to watch break out in the new exciting UK underground scene. A song titled Note to Self was listed as track 9 on an early list, but was cut from the album as the band felt that it disrupted the flow.
