  1. XLISP

XLISP is a family of Lisp programming language Lisp implementations written by David Betz . The first version was a Lisp with Object oriented programming object oriented extensions for computers with limited power. The second version XLISP 2.0 moved toward Common Lisp , but was by no means a complete implementation. After a long period of inactivity, the author released a new version based on XSCHEME , his Scheme implementation. The most current version follows the Scheme programming language Scheme R3RS standard. Derivatives AutoLISP , a programming and scripting language for AutoCAD , is based on a very old version of XLISP. XLISP PLUS is a derivative of XLISP 2.0 that continues to add Common Lisp features. Winterp is a derivative of XLISP PLUS. XLISP STAT is an implementation of Lisp Stat , an environment for dynamic graphics and statistics with objects. Nyquist programming language Nyquist is an extension of XLISP for sound synthesis. ANIMAL image processing ANIMAL AN IMage ALgebra is an image manipulation environment created by Carla Maria Modena and Roberto Brunelli. A 1989 entry to the IOCCC identifies itself as XLISP 4.0 . 1. AutoShade

Orphan date February 2009 Image PIN.GIF frame right AutoShade 3D Rendering. AutoShade was an early 3D rendering package for use with AutoCAD . Autodesk developed Autoshade in 1987. Description AutoShade was an MS DOS application. Autodesk developed it to produce realistic Flat shading shaded renderings of 3D face objects made by their Computer aided design CAD program, AutoCAD. It simulated various types of lights&mdash spot, point, and infinite directional. To create a rendering, a person Made an AutoCAD Drawing file containing 3D faces Placed AutoShade light and camera blocks Used an AutoShade provided AutoLISP application to export 3D faces, camera blocks, and lighting blocks to a scene file Opened the scene file in AutoShade and rendered the image Files AutoShade wrote the rendering to an .RND file. In the first version, the .RND file was a 2D Vector graphics vector file, importable into applications such as Adobe Illustrator Adobe Illustrator version 4 . Later, when Autodesk added Gouraud shading , the .RND could also be a Raster graphics raster file. Autodesk developed an application called Flimaker for MS DOS, which converted .RND files into a format usable in Autodesk Animator . This could be used, in conjunction with AutoFlix , to create rudimentary 3D animations from AutoCAD source material. Demise Though the final version of AutoShade supported RenderMan extensions, Autodesk never developed it into a full rendering application. Even with AutoFlix, it did not support keyframing or hierarchical kinematics. When Autodesk released 3D Studio Max 3D Studio , the need for AutoShade ended, since 3D Studio was far superior in technology and in ease of use. PN1 s successor, Programmer s Notepad 2 PN2 , was released in 2002 and is now based on Scintilla editing component Scintilla . Possibly the most distinctive feature common to both versions is the combination tabbed document interface and multiple document interface called Tabbed MDI by the developer. The tabbed document interface TDI is parent to the multiple document interface MDI . Both PN1 and PN2 feature syntax highlighting for many programming languages through Plug in computing plugins called schemes. Scheme files can be added to support more languages. PN1 scheme files are not compatible with PN2 scheme files. PN1 included syntax highlighting for C , Cascading Style Sheets CSS , HTML , INI file INI , Java programming language Java , JavaScript , AutoLISP , Pascal programming language Pascal , Perl , SQL , Visual Basic and XML . Other significant features common to both editor versions are Scheme Tools and Text Clips. Scheme Tools allow the user to make highly customizable calls to other programs such as a compiler based on the scheme of the current file. Text Clips are code templates or values that can be inserted into the current document to speed up development time. A significant feature added to PN2 is code folding . A significant feature that has been often requested, but is no ...   more details
