Working with the Ahnenerbe Ahnenerbe division , Wolfram Sievers , Bruno Beger and Hirt together collected human skeletons from among the Dachau concentration camp Dachau inmates. In 1943, Hirt had 79 Jewish men, 30 Jewish women, 2 Poles, and 4 Asians selected among the inmates at Auschwitz . These people were sent to Natzweiler Struthof on July 30, 1943. Here they were gassed, by Josef Kramer , on August 17 and August 19, 1943. Their bodies were returned to Hirt at the anatomical laboratory of the Reich University in Strasbourg for preparation as an Anthropology anthropological display, where they were re discovered after the liberation. Some speculate that the Asian victims were in fact Soviet Union Soviets , and there is mention that Hirt used this opportunity to test the effects of mescaline as a poison. Hirt s law , named after Hermann Hirt who postulated it originally in 1895, is a Proto Balto Slavic language Balto Slavic sound law which states in its modern form that the inherited Proto Indo European language Proto Indo European stress would retract to non ablauting pretonic vowel or a syllabic sonorant if it was followed by a consonantal non syllabic Laryngeal theory laryngeal that closed the preceding syllable. Compare Proto Indo European language PIE PIE d uh m s smoke compare Sanskrit wikt dh m s and Ancient Greek wikt thum s Lithuanian d mai , Latvian d mi , Serbo Croatian d m , Polish dym . PIE PIE g riHw h neck mane compare Sanskrit wikt gr v Latvian gr va , Serbo Croatian gr va , Polish grzywa . PIE PIE pl h n s full compare Sanskrit p r s Lithuanian p lnas , Latvian pil ns , Serbo Croatian p n , Polish pe ny . Hirt s law did not operate if the laryngeal preceded a vowel, or if the laryngeal followed the second component of a diphthong. Therefore, Hirt s law must be older than then the loss of laryngeals in prevocalic position in glottalic theory formulation to the merger of glottalic feature of PIE voiced stops who dissolved into laryngeal and buccal part with the reflexes of the original PIE laryngeals , because the stress was not retracted in e.g. PIE tenh w s Ancient Greek tana s , Sanskrit tan thin Latvian ti vs , and also older than the loss of syllabic sonorants in Balto Slavic, as can be seen from the abovementioned reflexes of PIE PIE pl h n s , and also in e.g. PIE PIE dl h g s long compare Sanskrit wikt Sanskrit d rgh , Ancient Greek wikt dolikh s Lithuanian lgas , Latvian il gs , Croatian Serbian d g . It follows from the above that Hirt s law must have preceded Winter s law , but was necessarily posterior to Balto ..., the importance of Hirt s law lies in the strong correspondence it provides between the Balto .... Image Buzidi.jpg thumb Al Yazid al Buzidi Bujrafi born 1925 is a prominent Moroccan Sufi poet and shaykh of the Darqawa Alawi Darqawi order, a branch of the Shadhili order. He lives at his Zawiya in Zaghanghan, Nador. Biography He was born as al Yazid Bujrafi in Bani Shikar, in the Rif region of North East Morocco, in 1925. He memorised the Quran under the tutelage of his father, who in 1934 took the 19 year old al Yazid to Sidi Muhammadi Bil Hajj, Sheikh of the Alawi order, to take the litanies of the order from him. Sheikh Muhammadi instructed al Yazid to continue his spiritual instruction under Sheikh Moulay Suleiman ibn al Mahdi, also of Bani Shikar, whom al Yazid maintained a close relationship with until his death in 1970, marrying his daughter and serving as Imam in his Zawiya. It was Moulay Suleiman who changed al Yazid s name to al Buzidi, in reference to two great masters of the Darqawi brotherhood, Muhammad al Buzidi al Ghimari, disciple of Moulay al Arabi al Darqawi and Muhammad ibn al Habib Hamu al Buzidi, Sheikh of Ahmad al Alawi, founder of the Alawi order. Following Moulay Suleiman s death in 1970, Sheikh al Buzidi assumed leadership of the brotherhood in Morocco, and shortly afterwards established a new Zawiya in Zaghanghan, Nador, which remains the head Zawiya of the brotherhood in Morocco to his day.
