The Christian MethodistEpiscopalZionChurch is a tentative name for a merger between the Christian MethodistEpiscopalChurch and the AfricanMethodistEpiscopalZionChurch . This was proposed in 2000 during merger negotiations. The two churches have been in negotiations for many years to merge.
