Beginning in the late 1960s, the firm manufactured a two seat trainer for the Brazilian Air Force , the Aerotec Uirapuru . A small number were also built for the civil market, and still others were exported to other Latin American countries. By 1980 in aviation 1980 , Aerotec s main business was producing components for Embraer . However, around this time, the Air Force became interested in an uprated version of the now venerable Uirapuru. A prototype was built designated Aerotec Uirapuru II Uirapuru II but by the time it flew, the Air Force no longer required it. A small number were built for export. In 1987 in aviation 1987 , the firm was sold to Embraer. The Aero Tec is also an air circulation fan produced by DL Manufacturing. Automotive Design and Development Ltd ADD was an England English company that was responsible for the creation of the futuristic looking Nova kit car . The company was based in Southampton from 1971 to 1973 after which it moved to Accrington , Lancashire until 1975. ADD as a company failed and the rights to the Nova were bought by Vic Elam who founded a new company, Nova Cars in Mirfield , West Yorkshire in 1978 which continued until 1990. A low volume production run was made by Nova Developments in Cornwall in the 90 s and the company was sold to Shashi Vyas whose company Aerotec Nova is based in London still. Circa 1996.
