Waterloo Station is an Australia n television series produced by the Reg Grundy Organisation for the Nine Network in 1983. The cast included Ron Graham actor Ron Graham , Sally Tayler , Danny Roberts actor Danny Roberts , John Bonney actor John Bonney , Jenny Ludlam , Bartholomew John , Steven Grives and Andrew Clarke actor Andrew Clarke . Waterloo Station was an attempt by Grundy s to reproduce for Channel Nine the success of their earlier shows The Restless Years and The Young Doctors which focused on youth situations. And like Crawford Productions successful police series Cop Shop , Waterloo Station combined police procedural and domestic storylines involving the police personnel and their families. Waterloo Station focused on two sisters, both married to policemen, and their adult children starting careers in the police force. The main locations were a police station, a police training academy in Sydney , and a large boarding house that provided accommodation for several characters. The series was programmed against the popular new series Carson s Law in key markets including Melbourne, and achieved only mediocre ratings. It was cancelled after 52 episodes. Andrew Clarke, Danny Roberts and Sally Tayler all subsequently found greater success as regular cast members of another Grundy produced soap opera, Sons and Daughters Australian TV series Sons and Daughters . A few months after Waterloo Station Grundy launched Starting Out which featured youthful characters attempting to enter the medical profession. This series was similarly short lived. Station X was an animated live action series that aired on both the English and French channels of Teletoon Canada Teletoon . The show revolved around six young Mass media media savvy people, in their late teens to early twenties, all living in a loft in Montreal , Canada . Station X was created by Quebec based film producer Cit Am rique , now part of FRV Media . Episodes were produced in English and dubbed to produce the corresponding French episodes, although text that appeared on the screen was in French, such as the election posters in Power . Style The show s style is noted for being unique with it combination of original animation and film clips. Most clips are music videos , although other clips, such as pieces of movies or televisions shows, are also shown. Notable sources include The Kids in the Hall and Sam Roberts , and many episodes contain an Angry Kid short. The episodes had minimal plots. In each episode one character had a moral dilemma or issue, and they would discuss it with each of the other characters, each showing their Perspective cognitive point of view on the subject. A clip would then play, usually referenced to in the discussion, and occasionally directly introduced, to illustrate their point. Another unique feature of Station X is that there the screen was never filled. For each camera angle the image had a different shape and size with an edge looked rough, like torn paper. Sometimes two different angles of the same scene where shown at the same time. Even the film clips didn t fill the screen, as widescreen movie clips and music videos where shown letter ... 3 productions.php?xlang en&xmode all&xid 197&xtri 3 FRV Media Cit Am rique Station X imdb title id 0496465 title Station X Canada tv prog stub Animation tv prog stub Category Canadian animated television series fr Station X ... more details
