Eros and Agape ISBN 0 8446 6051 5 is the title of a two volume treatise written by the Sweden Swedish Protestant Theology theologian Anders Nygren , first published in Swedish language Swedish in 1930 1936. It analyses the connotations of two Greek language Greek words for love , Eros love eros and agape unconditional love , and concludes that agape is the only truly Christian kind of love, and that eros an expression of the individual s desires turns us away from God. This may be contrasted with the conclusions of Pope Benedict XVI in his first encyclical , Deus Caritas Est , that both eros and agape are aspects of divine love. Note The title of the English translation is Agape and Eros , not Eros and Agape . EROS A was launched, on December 5, 2000 and EROS B on April 25, 2006. EROS A EROS A was launched on the Russia n Start 1 launcher on December 5, 2000, from the Svobodny launch site Svobodny Launch Complex in eastern Siberia , to a Low Earth orbit LEO altitude of 480 km. The satellite provides commercial images with an optical resolution of 1.8 meters. The satellite orbits earth in a sun synchronous orbit , so that its imaged target is always in daylight. Shorabji Bhedwar designed the Streamline Moderne building, it marked the beginning of Back Bay reclamation in early 1938. The foundation of Eros Cinema was laid in 1935. The cinema opened in 1938 and construction of this building on the then newly reclaimed Backbay plot housing shops and other businesses, apart from the cinema, took about two and a half years to complete. Partially faced with red Agra sandstone, this building is painted cream. The two wings of this Art Deco building meet up in a central block. The foyer is in white and black marble with touches of gold. Marble staircases with chromium handrails lead up to the upper floor. The murals are in muted colours depicting Indian architectures.
