    The 1935 Men s Ice Hockey World Championships were held between January 19 and January 27, 1935 in Davos , Switzerland with 15 countries taking part, a record. The 15 teams first played in four preliminary round groups three groups of four and a group with three teams . Unlike the previous year, Canadian national men s hockey team Canada participated in the preliminary round. The first two teams in each group advanced to the second round while the remaining seven teams played in a consolation round to determine positions 9 through 15.
