Wolfram Research is an international company that summarizes its aim as "Pushing the Envelope of Technical Computing". The main product of Wolfram Research is Mathematica, an environment for technical computing. The founder and CEO of Wolfram Research is Stephen Wolfram, scientist and author, who maintains close involvement with the development of Mathematica.
SoftwareThe primary software product of Wolfram Research is the program Mathematica, which has, as of May 2007, undergone an upgrade with version 6 that the company describes as "the most important upgrade in the application?s 20-year history."[1] Other products include Wolfram Workbench, gridMathematica, and webMathematica. PublishingWolfram Research publishes the Mathematica journal and has published several books via Wolfram Media, Wolfram's publishing arm[2].
