Rod Coleman

Roderick Dwayne Coleman (born August 16, 1976 in Vicksburg, Mississippi) is an American football defensive tackle who is currently a free agent. He most recently played for the Atlanta Falcons. He was originally drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the fifth round of the 1999 NFL Draft. He played college football at East Carolina. He was injured during the 2007 NFL Season and placed on injured reserve. Was since cut by the Falcons and has not been able to find a team willing to give him a new contract.

Early years

Coleman attended Simon Gratz High School in (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), here he won varsity letters in football, track and field, and was an honor student. In 2000, he appeared on MTV Cribs, in episode XXI. Coleman has a serious knee injury that may hamper him for the rest of his career, if he signs with another team.

NFL career

Coleman played for the Oakland Raiders from 1999?2003. He then signed with the Atlanta Falcons before the 2004 season and played for them until 2007. On February 15, 2008 the Falcons released him.
