RAF Grangemouth
RAF Grangemouth was an RAF base near Falkirk, Stirlingshire, Scotland.
RAF Grangemouth opened as Central Scotland Airport in May 1939 and operated as a civilian air navigation school until September 1939.
It was used by No. 58 Operational Training Unit (renamed 2 Tactical Exercise Unit).[1]
After the war, it was used as a gliding school and 13 Refresher Flying School, then by RAF Maintenance Command until closure in 1955.[1]
The buildings were destroyed by fire in August 1952. The site is now part of Grangemouth oil refinery.
