Ptiloris
The genus Ptiloris consist of four riflebirds species of the Paradisaeidae family. It is distributed in the rainforests of New Guinea and Australia. Members of this genus are sexually dimorphic. The males perform solitary displays. These birds of paradise was named "riflebird" for the likeness of their black and green plumages to the uniform of early nineteenth century British army riflemen.
