Pateley Bridge
Pateley Bridge is a market town in Nidderdale in the Borough of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England, on the River Nidd. It has the oldest sweet shop in Britain and is the home of the Nidderdale Museum. Until 1964 it was the terminus of the railway line running up Nidderdale from Nidd Valley Junction, near Harrogate. Now access is by road, with a regular bus service from Harrogate. The last dales agricultural show of the year, The Nidderdale Show, is held annually on the show ground by the river Nidd. Stump Cross Caverns are located just outside Pateley Bridge.
