Nevan (pronounced: ) (from Irish gaelic "Naomhan" meaning "saintly"[1])[2] was a minor saint in Irish folklore.[3] It means holy[4], little holy one[2] or little saint[2],or follower of the saint.[3] In Gaelic it is pronounced as NAO-vahn. In English it is commonly pronounced as "Nevin," but should be pronounced as Neven/NEH-vahn. It is a rare Irish given name.[5]
