Nerdapalooza

Nerdapalooza is a nerd music festival. The first of its kind to invite all genres of the new movement under one roof, Nerdapalooza was scheduled to have its first two day festival in September 2007 at Redwood Acres Fairgrounds. Due to funding issues it has since been pushed back to a later date. The creator of the event is John "hex" Carter, who hosted a Nerdapalooza themed radio show through KRFH, the student-run radio station at Humboldt State University. This word is coined from nerd and palooza, slang word for all-out crazy party, and is a reference to Lolapalooza.

Nerdapalooza UK is the United Kingdom equivalent of the American nerd music festival. Like it's United States counterpart, it is also planned to take place in 2008 twice. Once will be a trial run, in Bradford, UK at the Delius pub. The date for this event will be June 14, 2008 and it will consist of fewer artists than the main event. The venue for the main event is currently unconfirmed but will be somewhere in Leeds, UK. The date has been tentatively set for some time in October 2008, depending on interest, artists available and what venues are available.

It is being planned as a free event and all the artists will be performing for free. Although supported by Nerdapalooza US's creator, John "hex" Carter, the creator and organizer of Nerdapalooza UK is Stevie "MisterB" Brunton who also writes and records his own Nerdcore Rap music, and will be performing at the festival.
