Soccer: The Marietta soccer program is one of the best in the state of Georgia. Expected to reach the Play-offs for the third time in 4 years the soccer team will have great promising stars. Marietta has one of the youngest team in their Region but the players have grown and should show great potential. The team haves a very talent offensively with Cobb FC classic 1 players James Gronewald and Brazilian super star Rodrigo Dutra who is expected to play on a Division 1 soccer team(Clemson has shown interest), the major problem will be finding the key striker, Gustavo Viana will be back despite such an awful season last year, he will look for major improvements and more goals. John Pessoa will be back hopefully after a career-threatening injury, the junior player has good moves with the ball and is a solid finisher.
