John Sorenson

John Sorensen (b. November 27, 1965) (B. Comm., B.Mus., M.Mus., LLB, LLM candidate) is a Canadian recording engineer, known for his work with The Rolling Stones (Bridges to Babylon), the Red Hot Chili Peppers (Californication), Beck (Mutations), Luis Miguel (Amarte Es Un Placer), Dave Douglas (Bow River Falls), Chucho Valdes (Afrocubanismo! Live), Don Thompson (Moonwalk), Ken Aldcroft (Big Picture, His Mistress Never Sleeps, From Our Time, Kirby Sideroad, The Great Divide) and others. He was an assistant engineer at Ocean Way Recording and assistant/staff engineer and technologist at Cello Studios in Hollywood, and taught audio at The Banff Centre in Banff, AB. His current focus is jazz recording.
